FINALLY! IT'S HERE!!!

HELLO, HELLO, HELLO, EVERYONE! Well, after so long, it's finally here! My book, First Time Angel is out and available for immediate purchase on Amazon! The original launch date was April 18th (and it is still available for pre-order on Kindle), but since I didn't know that the paperback publishes pretty much immediately once they approve it, it's been out since Friday night. So, I will leave the links here in this blog, and I promise I'll try to get back to blogging as soon as I can. I've just been extremely busy editing other stories I have on queue and am trying to decide which manuscript I want to release next.

I ordered Author Proofs when I finished formatting the book last week on the 3rd. The proofs got here Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Let me tell ya, to have something of mine in my hand ... Something tangible that I worked on. Something that I did ... it was such a surreal feeling. I almost cried. I didn't cry, but almost. I have five copies and want to give them to my muses. I have three for them, and one possibly for a friend. I'm not sure who, yet. Maybe I'll decide that once I figure out I actually don't want five copies of my own book. LOL! I want at least one copy of each release for myself and extras to give to those who matter.

Releasing a book is a rush. I didn't know that. Last year when I released two of my smaller stories, it was on Smashwords, and didn't really feel "important". Kind of a rush, but on a much smaller scale. Only one person (a friend of mine) bought one of each. That was sweet, and even then, there was a sense of pride knowing that I sold something. But the feeling wears off eventually. When I sell to people I don't know, I think that'll be an even bigger rush. Just releasing the work felt like an accomplishment. When I finally start to sell them and get reviews, I think it'll be scary, but exciting. Anyways, I promised those links, so here they are!

Upcoming Projects

Hey, guys! Here are some of my upcoming projects. I'm working on manuscripts right now. I have to go through and do some editing and rewriting, and it's coming along. Not as quickly as I would like, but still... I'm trying to decide which road (publishing-wise) will be best for my brand of stories. I'm an erotica writer. I also have my toe dipped into a children's book (different pen name) and a book on pop culture and my experiences with it. There is also a biography in the works and a self-help-style thing that may just wind up being a blog. I don't feel I have enough material for it to be a book. If I decide to go with an agent, hopefully, there will be one who understands and shares my vision. When I write erotica and romance, I don't always keep just the woman's perspective. I try to show things from the man's point of view as well. I like to show what people are thinking, how they are feeling, and what they are going through. When you watch a m...

Do You Believe in Ghosts and Spirits?

Do You Believe in Ghosts and Spirits?   Do you believe in ghosts and spirits? I do. I'm about to tell you a few of my experiences. I only wish they weren't real, but alas... these things did happen to me, and I can never forget them.  At the age of nine, my mom and I were living with her boyfriend in his childhood home with his mother, brother, and sister. It was a pretty nice house in one of the older (and now roughest) parts of town on the west side called Ensley. I was home alone that particular day, and have no idea where the four grown-ups of the house were. I had no worries, as I sat alone in the back of the house watching television. It was sunny out, no winds, and nothing wrong with the power, yet the television went off on its own. I didn't try to explain it away. I simply ran from the back of the house through the room my mom and I slept in, out of the brother's room, straight through the dining room, and out the living room door. SCREAMING! I ran to the house...

So, It's Christmas Eve

Hey, y'all! So, it's Christmas Eve and I haven't posted in a bit. I decided to post a couple of Christmas poems here for you. One is the original version of A Visit from St. Nicholas . The other is a darker, goth version of the same poem. I love both and can't choose which one I love more. I think they're about even. Anyway, enjoy the poems, and have a very Merry Christmas! See ya next year!!! For those of us who don't mind a bit of tradition on Christmas Eve: “ The Night Before Christmas ” ‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugarplums danced in their heads. And mamma in her kerchief, and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter nap. When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my b...
